I actually don't think that's naive at all. In fact I think it's pretty likely they will have an ok ending. Tragic ending seems very unlikely to me for UTGL, considering various factors.

I mean we might get a season 3 at this rate, but I’m having trouble imagining an ending that is happy for these two
