Ahh how did you know? God you busted my evil plans that no one knew of! Honestly I shouldn't bother replying but I like the way you described haters, very much like a literary critique would criticize a book! So you are telling me you are okay with a romanticized rape story but can't stand people who hate it and express their thoughts over it! It's like saying you are okay with war crimes in films but you are disgusted with people who verbally fight over whether war is good or bad! That's some impressive mentality you have there, good luck with the real world! Cause yk? That's freedom of speech, which was as a result of democracy! No one is hurting anyone here (maybe the author, but I'm sure even she had already predicted such comments and is not a snow flake like some people) hence, if you are suffering from the comments, first, don't read them (no one forced you), and second, blame democracy and its evil doctrines!
I really think mob hating on things brings people together, lol. Super serious. I feel like it makes people feel better when they can collectively so intensely hate on a certain, thing. Especially when that thing is generally frowned upon.
Me personally, these types of stories make me feel at ease. I have been r*ped before. I’ve been in an abusive relationship before. Why do I keep coming back to dark stories?They make me feel better. It’s not logical, but after what has happened to me, it changed something in my brain to where I keep coming back to stories like these.
The hate comments and super intense people aren’t ever going to stop. I say take it with a grain of salt and keep enjoying the story and know there’s lots of us who get it and are reading it with you.
How could I forget, they also put words in your mouth and cannot argue without doing so. Not to mention all these false analogies you've made instead of sticking to the matter at hand. Y'all keep reading Jinx, among other stories here, and whine ad nauseam that it's the same old trope that y'all are apparently so tired of, as if there's no other story here for you to read. I don't usually have a gripe with people expressing thoughts about a story but then there's the subset of y'all that even judge other readers that can have a perfectly good time reading such stories while keeping their moral values intact.
Anyway, it's not really that serious, act like you're better than everyone for all I care, not like you need permission from anyone. But I can express whatever here as well and claim discussion space for people who are cool with enjoying fiction as it is, and I won't have anyone telling me I'm depriving anyone of free speech.

Girl please calm down, people are allowed to critique stories if they don't like them. The author is not naive, they know that they will get good and bad comments. You seem to be very triggered and upset. I'm sorry if someone has hurt you in the past, but don't take it out on the people.

True and understandable but that's not my issue. Perhaps I should have been more specific and less generalizing, but it's difficult to put into words. There are quite a few comments that you can tell are just out to hate on the comic for the sake of it.
Throwing mud is quite relatable if the plot really doesn't make sense. But Jinx, despite how it seems to follow a typical sequence in stories that play with angst, still has a story that holds. Yet here comes a flood of comments wailing that it doesn't make sense for Kim Dan to catch feelings. But him catching feelings is totally in character.
He was introduced as someone who grew up in misfortune and suffering and finds it difficult to assert himself when he needs to. He found an escape from that life by selling his body, a lot changed and all his immediate worries disappeared. Him catching feelings towards someone instrumental to that change, while not enjoyable to see, is consistent with the story so far.
That sort of development is not new, so it's quite predictable, but it still makes sense. And given what happened in BJ Alex, it's easy to expect character development. The way people claim that it's a nonsensical development... did they not know what they were getting into? Were they even reading the story?
Not everyone likes predictable developments like in this one. It's understandable to complain about developments in the story that you don't like. It's not like disliking the rape and SA and appreciating the story are mutually exclusive, but some people viewing the story with their ultracritical lenses can really be so deluded. If they're gonna paint this comic as something it is not, denigrate readers who appreciate the story, and act like they are morally superior, out of some obsession to hate on this comic... they are free to do so, and I am free to say whatever I want about such overbearing, insufferable zealots.
They see ficitonal depiction of rape and SA victims catching feelings and assume the worst of the author and faithful readers. They're so pressed over fictional stories yet act so unbothered and puke hate everywhere they can as much as they can. They think they're the only enlightened ones here and will only keep judging people they do not even personally know.
They guilt trip you and spout so much self-justified hate comments towards the author and readers, who are real people, over what happens in a fictional story, judge you under whatever standards they cook up, and generally make your reading experience as annoying as possible.
They immediately block you from replying when they think they have a mic drop moment. With the way they get so triggered over every fictional depiction of rape and whatnot, one would think they steer clear of these kinds of stories. But no, they're just so drawn to these stories, even more than the actual readers who know what they are getting into and are capable of staying true to their moral values while reading these stories peacefully.
