Ash is the friend of the brother's lover who got introduced to Carl at the beginning. The brother probably got kidnapped bc he's of the Noble Alpha family, the same old stuff
The English translation actually has a lot of issues (at least they’ve done pretty well in the first half of ss1), besides there’re also many details that got cut out in the manhwa adaptation so you might get confused reading (especially in ss1 they cut a whole novel chapter of Ash POV explaining why he accepted to be Karlyle’s sex partner). And Ash is not Karlyle’s brother lover. You can call him as a friend of the younger brother’s husband (they not ex-lovers or anything), and yes Karlyle’s younger brother got kidnapped when he was small because he’s a dominant alpha and comes from a noble family
