i think Pain shows Brutal who is the boss
In this story, I think "abnormal" is a sub vampire. Brutal only submits because Pain has strong scent whatever (he says). He doesn't bow and ask to be dominated. Same sex f*cking is fine here and not considered abnormal (everywhere should follow that later attitude).
I see i thought being abnormal means being gay since Shell was so scared to let anyone know and because of other vampires attitude towards the other vampire that likes Shell ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I really think it's because he is a sub to a human. Shell would have married a male vampire and we see vampires openly dominating male humans. It's being the sub that is a problem in a culture based on shows of dominance and strength. But it problem doesn't matter much if you want to read it the other way.

So Pain and Brutal are both abnormal? IS that why Pain is so against that one Vampire (forgot his name, the one that sells perfumes) that confessed to Shell? Or all that sex was to show power over Brutal? hmm so many questions but i like it ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
