You are referring to mangas , aka japanese comics, right ? For mangas, i don't know, but i feel that would be unfair to say this for Manhwas and Manhuas as this year there was very good ones ! _ like Reunion, Semantic Error, No Moral, Lost in the Cloud season 2, they have a good plot and character depth + relationship development i think they are worth celebrating !!

You told us you wanted to tear up like a lost soul lol. Btw , the two BL mangas i have linked are not sad . I want to know about more japanese BL mangas that were released this year but it's not easy to find them on this website (i have tried using the keywords '' released in 2023 '' and i have found only one reference. It was a japanese BL though !! :-) a new ongoing one which seems good :-) !
I remember how old yaoi manga always tells beautiful story and actually have depth in their chara, but recent yaoi manga only focus on the main chara relaitionship with each other and smut, i dont mind a good smut but it hurts me knowing i wouldnt find any good yaoi manga in the future that makes me tear up like a lost soul
