ok here's some notes, it's long and it's been a while, but you'll get the jist
Also SPOILERS
-Helena wakes up and the prince comes crawling back saying he doesn't want to lose his only remaining family and that he won't let anything happen to her again (I think he's also made some comment to himself about how because of his personal feelings he almost lost the girl he loved from his childhood- lol still delusional)
-Helena responds indifferently that because she's empress now she needs an education and the prince needs to get her a teacher
-the prince is lost/in shock because of Helena's indifferent and unfamiliar appearance (she only put up a fake attack before because she had no choice but now she doesn't have to pretend to like him)
...
-eventually, Helena finds out she's a witch and the world revolves around her
-She meets the witches and they tell her she's the 'main character' and this world works for her happiness (I can't remember correctly, but the world has been rewinding/repeating until her 'happiness' is achieved)
-Helena was never fond of anyone but was intrigued by the lady who scolded her (OGEris)
-She realized OG-Eris not only hated her but the hatred was quite deep but despite that Helena still wanted to get close to her (she kind of saw her as a friend when they were younger)
-in fact, after she woke up from her coma when the prince ran to her, all she could do was wonder why he never uttered a single word for the lady had just died (Eris)
-Helena at one point, in the group of her witch sisters declared that even after all she had done to make Eris get what she wanted (this life she just kept giving things up to Eris (like the prince, ew) and letting her do what she wanted/put up with her behaviour), Helena was confident that because she how she liked her (Eris), this world liked her too but it ended up as the opposite (and Eris was executed).
-When she woke up and Eris was executed, Helena decided to become the new power of the world. She will control the world and will change the flow. She turned back the time.
-"Helena shouted as if to greet someone, Lady Antebellum, you're here, her blue eyes looked at the (beautiful woman) who was walking towards her with green eyes, Helena made a resolve that she will turn the world again and again until she succeeded in what she wanted to" i.e giving what OG- Eris what she wanted/deserved.
-I think after that she cuts her hair short, and travels around as a witch/teacher (lol this point is really fuzzy in my memory but I'm like 70% sure she doesn't stay as empress)
-Eris finished reading the story she wrote to Anakin, turns out the (real world) Eris was completing the story where it would be Helena who would save Eris this time, Anakin grumbled on how he did not liked that his master died.
-there's some more details but that's pretty much the jist and of course all 3 men suffer
I actually don't pity Helena (og FL) because she was fake from the beginning. Her mother taught her to get to the highest position she possibly can and that's the position of the crown princess. Because of her, the og Eris suffered and that's why the story was sad and she was proclaimed a villainess since she was supposed to be the real crown princess. I don't like her even though she was somewhat neutral and understanding of the actions that Eris (real world) did in this timeline. And now, since reading the spoilers i'm at least glad that she won't end up with the prince since they don't deserve each other but since i can be a little bit petty i kinda hate that she still gets to have her happy ending. I would've loved if she stayed dead and then the 3 idiots would literally have nobody.
This response got me laughing so much! True !! Me being petty af i also am not 100 % satisfied with the idea of being happy because she def should have known better, like let's forget all these disgusting guys, she took what was Eris first
Still I'm pretty happy with how this whole story turned out and i'm so soooo happy to see a FL finally going through with her plan of going back to her world cause they never do in other stories like that
Yep. I had a bit petty side to mee as well. Maybe I am bit too sempathic towards to the original Eris. She was raised , educated to be at that high point and it was like her sole purpose and she also loved prince so much ... She made tons of mistakes but suddenly a girl coming nowhere and getting everything she desired and tried to achieve all her life must be suffering...
Helena is supposed to be a spoof of the Mary Sue characters we often see in other stories where the prince and maid fall in love. I think she was supposed to draw unpleasant feelings from the readers because, in reality, that relationship (maid/prince romance) is 1- completely unrealistic and messed power dynamic-wise and 2- this story acknowledges what a lot of other stories don't and that's how the MC's actions affect those around them (as well as preexisting relationships prior to the romance). Tbh, I love the relationship between Helena and Eris because originally neither of the girls hated the other (in fact we discover later they both pity each other) and the only reason their relationship became warped was because of the men around them, pitting them against each other. Both were controlled by their positions and forced to be the other's enemy simply because the men in their lives wanted to play into their own delusions. Helena as a maid couldn't refuse the prince because he would punish and hurt those around her if she refused. Eris was also trapped by her role as the prince's fiance, she could not step down but she could also not put up with too much as she could lose face (and she had to protect her ppl as well). The prince used his position to force his 'love' onto Helena and forced her to marry him. He is also the one who villainizes Eris because of his inferiority complex and because it would make his decision to marry Helena more palatable to the nobles if she was a pretty weak lady harassed by Eris the evil duke's daughter (he also purposely doesn't help Helena gain power or raise her status as a means to control her and pad his own ego). The irony is despite the potential these 2 had to become friends, they never got the chance because the selfish men around them warped their relationship before it even really started. I think that's why the happy ending connects Eris, OG-Eris and Helena because it fixes the connection between them that had been warped by others.
I know and that's okay, I'm just not satisfied with the ending that Helena has. She still rose to the highest position and then found her real happiness by realising that she's one of the highest beings in that world and that everything revolves around her as you said. By reading this story and your spoilers i'm just realising that Eris and the og-Eris both suffered because she was fake and doing what she was taught. I'm petty af, what can i say. I want the the og FL's to have their doom sometimes and suffer just as much the all "villainesses" suffered.
I can't believe I am saying this but the original FL is pitiful to be married to that shity husband at the end. We shouldn't forget that that shity prince ( before the turn back time event ) tried to rape our main girl resulting her to kill him... I know that original FL doesn't know it since it never happened in her timeline but.... Having a husband who would rape someone when necessary(!) is disgusting...
