lollll my prof one time had us send a 'I'm grateful text' to someone we care about (family or friend) and my best friend freaked out my phone went off the rest of class because they thought I was going to end myself. My poor prof thought it was going to be some heartfelt exercise and then I had to explain why my friend was so concerned, my prof was SHOOK

Honestly, the worst part was the prof and 90% of the class didn't understand the problem with the wording and I had to explain in detail, that some people are mentally ill and from past or current actions, they can't be trusted and you have to keep an eye on them. AND THEY STILL DIDN'T GET IT

lolll I eventually gave up, because I was wording it in a very 'nice way' and no one understood (honestly, I was also like, I'm not getting a high enough grade to tell the prof to his face that his 'thoughtful exercise' was pretty much a su*cide note ).
Except for the guy beside me who laughed because he thought the same thing and his friend also asked if he was ok, no one else got it.
The prof still does it every year around Canadian Thanksgiving.
