The way both the father and fl say that about the brother. Like the father was shocked that he had a friend other than the ml and the fl doesn't want to date her brother’s “only” friend. I mean the Mk does care since he was ready to cut ties with him just to date the fl. Some friend he is, he picked the sister over his friend.
I guess the Chancellor is the brother's boyfriend. Since according to everyone else the ml is his only friend.
