I think it's because it's a flashback and she's trying to draw characters younger tbh? I don't notice it anywhere near as much in the next chapter personally.

I really enjoy this manga, but I find it difficult to look at the drawings and not develope tics at how wrong everyone's body proportions are. it was not this bad at the start, what happened???!!!
