I was quite surprised the first time I seen this cover. They shave their hairs??!?! Lol that was me before I know anything about the Edo period. Learning a bit won't hurt, their hair is just a hairstyles. One used to have in the past. It's like a hierarchy stuff and kinda... beauty standards.
