What don't you get? I can try to explain.
"Masters" are like vampires with magical powers (sort of). Certain things can cause them t turn into zeroes (monsters). When Kyon was small, his parents were killed by zeros and he was rescued by Lucaon and his friend. Back then, Lucaon was very kind to humans and his buddy was snooty and didn't like servants. So, Lucaon was comforting the frightened child and his friend tells him there were calls from home (and implies he should ditch the brat and take care of it).
When Lucaon returns home, he finds his entire family was turned into zeroes through the betrayal of a servant. Lucaon has to kill his whole family and the grief makes him start turning into a zero too--but Ryan get there and uses all his magic to halt the transformation. You can see one eye turned and he has a visible scar. So Lucaon has both psychological trauma and a magical wammy on his emotions due to having already started turning into a monster--something that can't be reversed (or not yet). So he went from compassionate and caring to being...well, a huge dick, but he is hot, so there's that.
Being rescued and comforted by Lucaon had a huge impact on young Kyon, who had just lost everyone he loves. Kyon waits for Lucaon and thinks about him all the time (not knowing what happened to Lucaon's family). Eventually, even though the memory was important to the child, Kyon gives up.
Until now. Now, when Lucaon is an asshat, Kyon still sees the face of his hero and the man he waited for every night. Kyon just wants his hero/crush back the way he was. Well, maybe he really accept who Lucaon is now. I don't know. Anyway, they have a bond, but Lucaon doesn't remember and is slow to melt.
Ryan remembers who Kyon is, and he seems to think it's a good idea for the two to be closer. He is one sneaky, old, powerful vampire, and he has plans. I don't think it's just about Kyon getting hickies. We'll see.
