He's the coward version of the FL, I guess. He never admitted he was guilty but he really was. The author never went into the father's POV but personally, I feel like he just can't face anyone with what he did. The only rope he was clinging to was that he did it for his daughter, as long as she was relatively fine. He didn't demand on anything nor was proud of what he did, so idk, it felt like he didn't deserve all the hate without wringing out what he really thought, despite not really changing the fact of the horrible thing he did.
Overall, it's a good story with two MCs having little to no emotions, finding love and forgiveness. I think the story could have been better but it's readable.
