He doesn’t want seram to throw away everything he previously was working towards. He wants him to be proud of where he’s from and still lead his people instead of running. He also has reasonable fears due to the fact that his country’s king and his weirdo stalker is after him/them. It’s not only Theo and seram who are in danger, it’s also their two kids now. They also can’t be focused on protecting their kids if they were to take seram’s offer by constantly being on the run. Theo is the more logical thinking one and the one that puts sense into seram’s head. Seram also said to run away out of desperation and wasnt in his right mind anyway.
I've seen the spoilers, he ends up back home and telling his creepy stalker and the king about Seram. In the end he ends up back in his cage while seram is back home unaware of what happened to theo.

Idk where my comment went here but I translated what Theo said previously. He said that seram is the leader of the enemy army. Then said that seram was already executed. Then he proceeded to say that his Capri is someone else (even gives a fake name) and says it was a mercenary who had passed away. He pressured the king by saying “should I have brought my capri’s dead body?” He also said that no one else knows what seram looks like so he’ll take care of whoever is spreading nonsense despite no one has seen seram before.
I don't think I have ever been so frustrated with a character more than i am with Theo most of the time. The way he would rather remain loyal, quiet and chained to his prison than to be free with the only person he has ever craved to be by his side (to the point where he actually thought of keeping him to himself) Seram gives and gives and gives, and maybe it's the age difference that makes him so naive, but i always feel bad when I see Theo push him away or become upset with him for the smallest things.
