But yea no, I so relate. Like if they weren't romanticising this toxic behavior from Yeonjae, I would like him more. Like Oh Sangwoo. He's possessive and psychotic, but atleast he knows. And atleast the author is aware that this character is a toxic piece of poo. Same with Joo Jaekyung. But they're serving Woo Yeonjae on a platter being like "he's only toxic because he loves Seoyoon. He's saying these things and being homophobic because he likes Seoyoon because he doesn't want him to like other men". But like- this is toxic ass behavior. I'm not gonna bring real life into this cus it's a manhua, but the mental gymnastics I have to do to even TRY to like this man's. And yea, Seoyoon is so easily manipulated and I love him, but also hate how stupid he is.... Dropping this shit. Can't deal with a rollercoaster as boring and retarded as this one. Nothing wrong with the "overcoming homophobia" trope, but the seme and uke are so delusional, toxic, and just outright depressing to watch. Seme is completely toxic and obscenely possessive. It's not healthy. It's honestly quite a disgusting behavior. The uke has zero self-esteem or self respect. I'm not tryna read about an infant learning how to walk (building the fundamentals and basic ability to function as a healthy person). That's way too taxing and frustrating for me. This is above my pay grade. The issue with these kind of storylines is that the authors don't know how real life works. Thus, the ending will be some bullshit that goes along the lines of: uke and seme will be happy and perfectly fine now that they're together and everything will be fine. That's not how real life works and that's still co-dependency with maximum levels of cope. Basing your entire self worth and happiness on someone else is not remotely fun to read or watch and reading this story means you entertain that notion. Fuck it, I'm outta here
