Oh thank you!
How funny!!! I literally JUST commented on your comment?!! About the thing you've just complimented me on. Hahaha well, thank you. I'm glad you're glad I know what I'm talking about. Hahaha.
Well, I'm glad we both know what placebos and hypnosis is all about! It takes a lot of work to explain it to the lay person.
You have no idea my original post, people were Making completely absurd assumptions. Along the lines of saying I was ok “with the older brother being raped and that he wasn’t able to give proper consent” when all I was saying was unless this is fictional hypnosis, the younger brother isn’t actually being raped. As well as someone painfully trying to use examples of people being scammed out of their money is proof that fictional Hollywood hypnosis exists <_<
But Hollywood is fiction. I'm sorry. What?!?
Yeah, I saw that post and half the time I'm tired when reading or writing responses so meh. That explanation doesn't make sense at all. Ppl get scammed because they believe in the lie, nothing to do w/ hypnosis....smh. well, hypnosis works if a person believes in it enough to be hypnotized, so it's similar, but they're not making the decision base on hypnosis. It's the brain's inability to sort out what's real/logical/probable so they buy into the lie. People who are older who can't make correct assessment or people who are gullible. I guess you can make an argument for both as a mind game, but it's not hypnosis.
Too many people misinterpreted my last post so I’m just going to simplify it and explain it in better detail.
I have a theory that the author gave this the title “placebo” because at some point the author is going to reveal that the older brother was never really hypnotized and just played along. People keep misinterpreting what I’m saying I’m not making a judgement call on the ethics of the so called older brother being in an altered mental state and engaging in sexual relations- I’m saying the whole scenario of being able to hypnotize someone that hates you to sleep with you is complete fiction not possible in the real world. ( FOR CLARIFICATION in the real world CRIMINAL court cases that involve sexual misconduct with hypnotism are between Doctors and their patients which all of those cases involve some level
Of trust between doctor and patient and all
Of this happening over a relatively lengthy amount of time NEVER EVER a case where on the first day a doctor was able to immediately hypnotize his patient and engage in sexual activity)
WHAT I AM QUESTIONING IS whether the author gave their work the title of “PLACEBO” because in the end we are going to find out the younger brother never really hypnotized the older brother, the older brother just played along because it’s an easier pill to swallow when you can blame your actions on something else instead of admitting your deepest and darkest desires —— aka it’s easier for the Older brother to blame that he was hypnotized by his younger brother than to that admit out loud his true feelings about his step
Brother he would never want to admit.
You are free to agree or disagree, what Are your thoughts? I also remembered this author has a 3 chapter manhua with the same title BUT that particular manhua already showed us the Hollywood hypnotism trope and I seriously hope this isn’t just the same story using the Hollywood hypnotism trope and just making more chapters…………
