Because if you can't, then it's YOU who's talking out of their ass, pretending to know what the hell is going on and what people are talking about (also feeling or intending). Also, I do NOT read it for 'porn' scenes, I would read pure smut or watch actual porn instead if this was the case, so stop asuming people's intentions. Stop trying to grasp at straws just because you cannot handle the truth of this subject: PER DEFINITION OF THE TERM, racism is an intention. People can be percieved as racist due to ignorance or misunderstanding as well, but YOU do NOT get to decide who is racist by intent simply because you want it to be so. From those three character only the 1st one is bordering the issues people seem to have their panties in a twist about. The other two have average stylization and could even be white given this is how foreign thugs are stylized by artists in general.
But even with the first one bordering the issue, again: Jay-Z lips + stylization is excactly this type of result and doesn't have anything to do with racism but with simplification of shapes. Plus, the 'western caricaturization' is playing a big role in this panel as well. For some reason asian media chooses to depict caricatures of western people more like western comic/cartoon characters than asian manga/manhua/etc..

Some characters that depict equally as defined but not caricature-type lips are Tosen and Zommari from Bleach or Killer Bea from Naruto for example. Their features would likely also be a bit more simplified as chibis or caricatures tbh. And people generally agree with one another in saying Bleach has the best depictions of black characters among all asian creations as they stylize but not exegarrate real life features. (Again, Jay-Z lips exist. Stylizing them will not change their size.)

The stuff we were talking about was mainly the chibi drawing of the black CEO-type character. Which is why I was confused as to wtf the gang stuff was about. And just like the CEO guy, this panel was so insignificant to me that I didn't care. Then again, maybe I am simply more used to the rules of manga/anime than people who are bothered by this and think this stylization is equal to what Disney did back in the day with black characters in their cartoons. :P

Yea I'm unsure about whether all three characters are black or not. I understand the debate on the first guy but still. I'm very familiar with the process it takes to *draw* a manga and I'm sure others have noticed as well even if they aren't familiar. But all the characters in that panel are clearly covered in a layer of screen tone. So to me, it seems the author covered the whole panel in screen tone so they won't have to color the skin whatever shade of gray to depict other races, if that makes sense. When you look beyind the screen tone it is clear that the author did not do any other shading to indicate skin tone at all (besides the solid black for the stark shadows which was just used for contrast). When referencing some of the other panels that have more *normal* shading, the shading used for the arms, neck, and nose are very very different from whats depicted in the gang panel. Therefore, there's no proof whatsoever on whether the characters in that panel are black or are white or are those with darker skin tones. I understand that because the way the 1st guy was *drawn* people have been debating but I personally don't think that's reason enough to 100% know the dude's race. But hey, I could be wrong and that's fine. I'll acknowledge it if I am.

My explanation is probably shit but whatever XD. Basically, as soon as I saw that panel, from an artistic standpoint, there is absolutely NO way to accurately determine the race of those characters without asking the author themselves
