All about the journey and not the result

I really enjoy this series, it's a nice change of pace in a sea of rehashed rofans. A lot of comments are asking "why"---why-this, why-that, but for me this series is less about the why, and more about the process and feelings that led Lihen to make these decisions, and how she feels about it during and afterwards. She got to relive her youth, much to her disbelief. Unlike other series, she was not necessarily trying to change her future, but rather was just simply curious to explore chances she wouldn't have before. Her agony, uncertainty, regrets, love and loneliness are expressed so readily even during what may become a regretable decision, and I don't see it as annoying or pathetic.

The Duke of Sagna's confession was beautiful and thoughtful. He truly is trying his best to understand her.
