I agree completely. Just that Maya acknowledged his wrongdoings in the past , felt guilty about it, and apologized for it is a big step in the right direction for combating the normalized rape trope in yaoi. Although some of us agree it may have been rushed or unsatisfied by it, just that it happened is noteworthy in this genre. baby steps...

i am -so- relieved that maya now deliberately accepts nemu's gender and understands fully how unfair he has been towards him - on the gender front as well as the the rape front.
(irl i would --never-- be satisfied with just maya's apology about raping nemu in the beginning, but since this is yaoi where rape is a normalized trope, i'm pretty gosh darn happy)
