The doll definitely isn't a good sign of how Marias mental health is going. I wonder what the asymmetrical eyes are supposed to represent. The only thing I could think of is the number of bullies that aren't dead but that seems a bit too stupid for any sort of symbolism.

    WAIT WAIT WAIT I just noticed in the cover, the doll has 5 eyes, and in ch 14 he only has 4. Maybe it is a count of how many bullies are left?
