Exactly, when I see kdrama and read manga I wonder how it become a must culture.
I finish work at 5pm, I clocked out by 5.01pm
And mind you not everyone like partying. I just don't want to socialise. It will drained my battery. And you still need to do lots of house chore, get ready for next day.
Plus, every one know that the drinking party is more or less just to please the leader rather than a team building
I know, socializing is draining even more with people you can't stand... I am more eager to get home and read something instead...
I don't like the cultural thing of mandatory drinking parties and dinners after work! That would be hell for me... As soon as my shift ends, I'm at the exit and I don't wanna see a coworker, no even by phone, till next day (〜￣△￣)〜
