If MC is single and gets involved with First lead and later on a Second lead appears that means First lead is endgame. Bc SL was meant as an obstacle in the relationship of MC and FL
If the story starts with MC having a crush or already being involved with Frist lead and Second leads appear and insteadly start moving too fast and confusing the MC, than Second lead is endgame. In this case is like SL is the savior who either helps MC of getting away from a toxic dynamic or they make them forget abt their imposible crush
This story is the first trope, not the second. I've read a lot of love triangles and until now only ONE has gone a different direction than the two routes I just explain
