You look like a discombobulated philosophical butt-flake disabled Crip-walking crawfish half-eaten autistic autobot doin’ the cha-cha slide with seventeen naked mole rats in your basement, your grandmother got raped by a crouton with a Gucci belt in northern Idaho boy. Shut your dirty ass up boy, I swear to God I’m really gonna get to the slackin' and rackin' and dickita-dackin and flippin' and rippin' and dippin' and slippin' and pippin and dippin' and rippin' and tippin' in ya fat ass, your name is erifer, more like stinkyfer cause you smell like poop, you ugly ass bitch, you are dirty like shit. I caught you at picture day dressed up like a clown with no hair, started singing Japanese songs to your girlfriend saying “Oaku, amanatai, amanakinasai-ya”. And then she bitch slapped you with a frying pan and licked your testicles and said “anuminum OKRRRR”. DUMBASS BOY, run that shit back.
Fine. You wanna play it that game?
'But if you like this sort of content then you like it in real life too.' This is your ONLY point that has merit. But I degress. This content plays a part in rape culture and normalization of things that are not cute.
According to rapecrisis of England and Wales, this is the definition. 'Rape culture is a culture where sexual violence and abuse is normalised and played down.' https://rapecrisis.org.uk/get-informed/about-sexual-violence/what-is-rape-culture/#:~:text=Rape%20culture%20is%20a%20culture,is%20normalised%20and%20played%20down.
And connection For Abused women and their children mention. 'Society has a long history of normalizing – and even romanticizing – toxic and abusive behavior, which makes it harder to break the cycle of violence.' https://www.cawc.org/news/normalizing-toxic-behaviors-causes-more-harm/
For example on romanticizing abuse on books.
Twilight by Stephenie meyer
November 9th by Colleen Hoover
Wuthering heights by Emily Brontë (Though admittedly, this book was made in 1800's. Doesn't change the fact what it means.)
That's why people ARE complaining and the fact these actions are seen as romantic.
"I don't like it." This point is moot, freedom of speech on the internet, I'm going to guess you live in a country that has some laws with freedom. However, people are allowed to complain about things. Also, complaining is a good thing. 'As Robin Kowalski, a professor of psychology at Clemson University, put it, “Yes, it’s good to complain, yes, it’s bad to complain, and yes, there’s a right way to do it.”' and 'Sometimes things suck, and there’s nothing wrong with pointing it out. This year, point it out with purpose.' so yeah, complaining is a good thing. Of course, raising awareness is important. Though admittedly there is very little most of us can do here. HOWEVER, doesn't change the fact that when a majority point something out. It helps people realize stuff. Nonetheless, it's good to call out rape culture and normalization.
"It's boardeline illegal "
If things are borderline illegal it doesn't mean they're saying it is. It's grooming. According to the oxford dictionary, 'the practice of preparing or training someone for a particular purpose or activity.' So clearly there was an intent for an adult to get in a relationship with a child. So this book was romanticizing the idea of an adult wanting to date a child. And yes, grooming is bad. Here are the effects. 'One of the key effects of grooming is that the survivor is left carrying the shame of the events, often represented in a sense of complicity, that they let it happen. This self-blame makes the abuse difficult to talk about.' and 'In online grooming cases, a child’s trust has been violated by the offender, and this betrayal of trust can harm a child’s ability to relate to others later in life.' so yeah, it borderline illegal. They're just using a loophole. (Yes Romeo and Juliet laws exist, but that isn't an adult going after a minor.)
"He stalked him. Cat named after him. It's so creepy."
Again, look at my first paragraph. It's romanticism and it's bad as fiction can affect one reality. 'Our brains learn patterns by discovering consistent outcomes to various actions/combinations of sensory input.' reading books does help shape one belief. Which is why propaganda is so good at what it does. Not to mention when someone you look up too, believes this. You'll likely to believe it. 'Our brains learn patterns by discovering consistent outcomes to various actions/combinations of sensory input.' again, when you consume media, especially as a child because your brain isn't fully developed. You're bound to see bad behavior as romantic.
You want to argue more? I got all day. Try me.
Sources I used, please correct me if I miss one. It's been a while since I did it.

They are drawings and lines. They are not real!
"But if you like this sort of content then you like it in real life too." - Are you idiots? You're the ones you can't seperate reality from fiction then if you that kind of logic.
"I don't like it." - then why did you read it? Now your complaining about it.
"It's boardeline illegal " - again they are not real. Plus they are of legal age. Use your brain.
"He stalked him. Cat named after him. It's so creepy." - Every genre "FICTION" will have a situation that will not be liked by all people. So if you don't like it you stop reading it and instead of bitching about it cuz it made you uncomfortable.
It's FICTION people. It's not real. Books have them. Movies and shows have them. Gosh such snowflakes.
