Why can’t I understand?

I’m still confused???
Why they blamed Han Maru for being better and so the entire team slightly swayed by him and changed their play a bit?? That’s his fault?
Isn’t an actor need to be responsible for their own acting? Why Han Maru need to pull the team-weight, like he needs to downsize his capability so the other didn’t feel inferior???
Or is it “a play” is substantially different than “a movie/drama” ??

I understand the ad-lib that talking to the child-audience is something he needs to think more. But the rest… still didn’t make sense.

Exactly I get it that they’re amateurs but the way the teacher put it she was basically pinching him to a corner instead of advising them they needed to work on their own confidence to not be swayed by his acting. And her advice for him was what? Be more cold?? So she wants him to tone down his own acting to match their level?? Even if she was trying to teach him how to manage the vibe of the stage she should’ve said that to him privately instead of shifting most of the blame on him who actually did well (like what her friend did later on). Like wtf she’s kind of pissing me off now.

    Right?????
She reprimanded him in front of everyone there like it was solely his fault that the play didn’t go very well. If she wanted to give advice, not pointing mistake, she can do it privately.
I feel bad…to be corrected in front of so many people is a bit humiliating. And worse, it’s not because he was bad, he was good, so good that the others couldn’t keep up , and yet they made it like it was his fault :(

At this point, I give up.
Either the author sucks and did his research about acting half-heartedly (just write whatever they want) or it’s just “theatre play” like this have a different principal than any other act/play that we didn’t know.
I’m so done trying to understand٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
