ryuji felt like a replacement. idk usually stories like these would have a more definitive way of convincing me that the other person was not a replacement but this one just didn't feel like aki accepts ryuji for who he is and not the person he confides to when he wants to feel loved.
Agreed. I think it’s cause there was no backstory or description of how aki realized ryuji was the one he truly loved. It felt cut short in a lot of ways. Like how ryuji background story was brought up but it didn’t feel like it added much substance to the overall character.
