I kinda see why he choose him, Black guy made connection to her and turned him to be a better person but to Pink haired and ML had a connection for individually. Pink taught her to be brave and to believe more on her self and same goes to the other, both are like each other saviour. Unlike black yes the chemistry is there and all but chemistry is just chemistry
