They're equal but it's how you treat them. Fujonshi really do have a bad rep for actually sexualization gay men. It's nothing about the fact it's gay, it's about how the community did treat actual people.

I as fujoshi don't fetish real gay people cuz I read them distinguishing reality and fiction i have gay friends myself so I know fujoshi itself is Japanese term for yaoi readers many people don't distinguish between reality and fiction so it's biggest problem when in yaoi they bring out the real life issue while it's made by straight vwomen for straight women yaoi is not something can represent LGBTQ+ community since large consumption of it's are straight women i know many gay people find yaoi weird and highly disgusting cuz it definitely don't represent them .
