I'm pan but I fully get what the uke is experiencing like he lives in Japan not western society where it's still easier to be in a queer relationship openly. For him the be all end all that he was taught since childhood was finding a girl and marrying her. he falls for his best friend who doesn't properly communicate his feelings at ALL, gets heartbroken and then has trust issues with said friend even if he confesses. I wish the author had explored the seme realising how he's communicating isnt the right way and actually face his mistakes from the first time he fucked up. idk I felt kinda irked when he just accepted the uke breaking up with him. like fight for him ofc he doesnt believe your feelings considering the past and all he's been taught!! communicate them better!!! obv uke isn't faultless I'm just saying y'all are too harsh
