For me it’s like angry thing…
I don’t know that is like a ‘moan’…
I agree with ya I usually use the "~" as just a way to elongate the word or sound I'm trying to make like a neutral thing or just when there's already context added.
But sometimes I use regular dashes so that no one will confuse two like:
WHY----Y!!! IS RED HEAD BEING SO FREAKING ANNOYIN-----G!!!
He dare stopped her…
