i feel that this story is so much more than romance. it gives such a good perspective on life as whole - what it means to find your own happiness while staying true to who you are, how important it is to stick to your values in the midst of societal pressures and how being a woman was like back in more traditional societies (with some resemblance today i guess - depending on where you live). it trades away traditional romance feel-good tropes for a more realistic view on society and the characters within it. the character and world building came together impeccably. i really fell in love with all the characters and all their strengths and flaws ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡
