I know a lot of people are annoyed that he hasn't gone to a shaman yet, but it's understandable. He feels at fault and guilty because of their argument right before his ex died (and the arguments that led up to that last one). He still seems to have love for his ex, despite the bad things we've seen so far and they spent most of their lives together so it's completely understandable that he would be reluctant to exorcise the "ex's" ghost. I also think he seems to feel like he deserves this "punishment," which adds another layer to his reluctance.
