I've genuinely been so desperate for any of these stories as well. I have a couple of BxBs that you may enjoy but not any GLs. I also BxGs if you don't care but I'll only include BxB.

Theirs definitely some stuff in the story that make good twists that are enjoyable...also mcs personality is amazing and ml is hot, though he does scare me a bit lolll)

Mc is a low ranking guide and Ml is an high ranking esper and honestly the action gives me chills, its so good! Also Ml isn't as toxic as you'd usually think for a guide verse story)

(You absolutely have to read this!! It's such a good story and the action is chefs kiss! The ending warms my heart and it's not just overwhelming 18+ content. They only show that stuff during the side story as mc and ml have to re-establish a trusting relationships. Genuinely made my heart warm up and it's amazing!!! And even if you start to possibly get bored reading this I promise you if you stick it out to chapter 30ish you'll be extremely attached to all the Mc and his friend. There's a couple big twists that are extremely well written and paced throughout the story!)

Its kinda hard to follow at time but it ties up pretty well after a couple chapters of explanation lolll. I think Mcs personality is amazing and Ml is so fiinnne! Whenever Mc does the challenges I get chills cuz he's just that good! Right now its on hiatus but I'd say feel free to read it whenever you feel fit! I've been a fan of this story for a couple years so I always love recommending it even if others read it before lolll)

He's also extremely strong and crucial the to plot. Ml is so cool as well, though he can be a jerk and while it is yaoi it really doesn't focus on that and works more on the action and tower clearing aspect of this story)

https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/dreadful_night/ (I think this probably wouldn't be considered apocalyptic but it has mc and ml with endless loops and regressions in a destructive world, though in this case it's from a killer and in, what is assumed to be, a semi generic horror plot with a twist, IK it probably isn't what you're looking for but please check it out if you haven't already! It has a sort of apocalyptic undertone that you may like!)

Ml is pretty fine, he's cool and he extremely assertive that goes well with the plot of escorting mc so he can end the zombie apocalypse)

Mc is kind of a pervert and also a stalker towards Ml but Ml is kinda receptive to it and pretty worse then Mc. Ml has an really big power imbalance that could be a problem later in the story but so far there are only 8 chapters but I really like it for now! Definitely worth checking out!)

Ml is a douchebag, and Mc is a kind of in a way a pushover but not rlly. I mean mc is cool so that's nice. The only reason I recommended this was the action and how cool mc with fighting which got me to love him but tbh I haven't even read past chapter 48 so sorry if it derails loll)
