in the original novel, the fact that they were twins was a secret from everyone, the lady did not know. the lady then wanted to kill who she thought was aisha, but was actually aida. aisha found out when the lady said to the supposed aisha who was actually aida to escort her to pick mushrooms at night, the lady then kills ‘aisha’ (aida) and buries her. aisha saw and then she kinda like, made herself like aida so all her wounds and stuff she bandaged them n smth and comes back to the house for dinner. the lady is shocked that shes still alive. we as the readers did not know aida was killed, when i was reading i was so shocked wondering how the fuck aisha was alive, then we found out and yeah capishe. aisha and aida would regularly switch places every now and then so some days when aisha didnt wanna do stuff it would be aida in her place, vice versa. dunno if this made sense

I mean like, I’m imagining just with the same theme, she’s gonna die. But like what is the point of remaking it, especially when what made the original story so cool and special is changed from the get-go? I also miss Ayeshah and Sean both being batshit insane.

This story seems more in depth and complicated, the original was only a few chapters and seemed more simple while this story tackles more about why things are happening this way and why sean and ayeshah are batshit insane in the first place.
