Guys he’s clearly not forgotten his goal. In the same chapter he’s like “yes he’s finally made some cracks in his defences”. He is obviously subconsciously catching feelings but it’s clear he’s not aware of it yet and just trying to get the ml to be defenceless around him. It’s very well paced - if it happened too quickly people would complain (I know I would). Let’s get some nuance in here babes
