Full volume although not as good has better writing than jinx in my opinion. Also jinx is quite literally full of sex just like full volume, except for the fact that the author realizes that a character needs motives and character development which was present within the story. I am interested in what you find jinx to be well written and would like to hear your opinion

Oh, I see where you're coming from. You're going off based on motivation. That's not all about a poorly written-character. It is safe to say the characters aren't written perfectly well but to say they are written poorly is just a big no from me. It's not because I'm a fan, it's just what it is from my pov.

Let me ask you a question. Does romance need to be structured in a way the characters must have a reason for being together? Is that how things work in real life? Is that how things work in other romance stories? No.

Details of a well-written character:
one with a complex and relatable emotional side: I don't know what version of Jinx you've been reading, maybe the rape has made you blind to other aspects of the story, but Jk is relatable based on the emotional side. There's obviously a reason why he treated Dan awfully in the past two chapters. He's an athlete, they often tend to become very stressed when pressured. Anyone would feel enraged and restless when they're scared, uneasy, and pressured. His behaviors were understandable. About exposing Dan’s privates to Heesung, it is clear he's new to being emotionally attached to a person, so he acts in the worst way possible just to claim Dan. Try looking from his pov and understand his character.

interesting and thought-provoking goals or philosophies: His beliefs are abnormal, and he thinks the only way to succeed is to train nonstop, with no rest. He has a weird mentality and anyone would be able to understand that this man grew up in a bad way.

a dynamic character arc: I do not care what you say but it is only 38 chapters, This plot (and the conflict it creates) is what will trigger their journey, pushing them to take action, face difficult trials, and slowly evolve. This upcoming match will definitely have an impact on their relationship.

Season 2 will be a huge blast, I think mingwa would start to show more of JK’s POV. Her pace is quite unique and flowing. Understand the characters to predict how they're gonna evolve. It's the author's story, not yours and how she makes the characters evolve has nothing to do with you. Most situations here are quite realistic, maybe you prefer the cliche fluff romance? Anyone should understand that this is a toxic relationship, y'all should expect worse lmao. Mingwa was very specific.

Let's allow the story to progress. Your impatience is not needed. You either cope or leave if this ain't your cup of tea. I see so many reasons why mingwa adds so many fucked up things. 19 Days does not have too well-written characters actually…the fact that the chapters are always short is just a big no from me.
I haven't read Lost in the Clouds but I will definitely give it a try.

About Jinx, I noticed you don't like the personalities of the characters that's why you assume that they're poorly written. You haven't understood their personalities at all. You don't expect the personalities of those two to grow instantly. There have been slight changes between the characters and I feel Season 1 is going off based on JK’s Jinx only. For you to read 19 days and judge Jinx in this manner is quite questionable lol.

I can go on and on. You can paint it like it one dimensional and he is one dimensional but the real story is clearly different from your opinion.
He chooses Dan because he was into Dan. There is no rape in Jinx. There is sexual assault, sexual coercion, abusive and two attempts of rape but by Jaekyung. He does have thought on it. It is showed.
It seems you are focusing on the sex and non existent elements to actually see the story.
You need to read BJ Alex and compare. You need to remember this is a contract relationship not a romantic relationship yet. They are not boyfriends yet. They are not really together.

If this story was turned in for a writing class, the instructor would point out the same criticisms you’ve given for Jinx. This shows to me (at least) that you are likely a good writer. Yaoi emphasizes sexual relationships over romance and literally means, “no climax, no point, no meaning”. By this definition, Jinx is your basic yaoi. I agree that It’s poorly written and it seems to be a caricature of itself, but it’s capitalized on notoriety and a cult-following. With that kind of marketing, it only needs a basic plot and pretty characters to sell itself

when talking about his motivation, it’s not just the endgame of him wanting to become the best in his field but wanting to know why he plans to achieve this, how he was pushed in this direction, and any hints as to why this is so important to him. fyi saying that he’s deep but all we know is his jinx, what he wants in his career, and why he chose dan doesn’t make him deep? those are so surface level and don’t venture into his character at all. and before u say to give the story time, those things have to be slowly added in the story!! that’s what it means to create build up. you say he wants dan emotionally but what specific scenes are you recalling? and the assumptions you made over his feelings for dan aren’t even definitive or hinted at in any chapter. this whole time he’s only been possessive over him whenever dan has the attention of other people or straight up aggressive to him, and takes it out on dan whether that be through social humiliation or fucking him so roughly even though he’s yelling no and begging jae to stop? like where is the tsundere in that? when has he shown signs of wanting to know dan as a person and not use him as his own fuck toy regardless of how dan feels or where they’re at?

I was arguing with this @Levi account and they just seemed so unstable and impatient about the story. This might not be the best romance but if we look at it from the characters and their situations, you won't just expect a huge bond to form between them. The romance has to be slow.

I have noticed that Jaekyung is very bad at admitting to things. It's really obvious he feels that way but he denies them to seem like a strong individual. One who sees love as a distraction to his career or something, so he tries his best to cancel those thoughts or make others do the same.

@Silent seems very genuine and I agree with some of the things she said. But it's still her opinion and how she sees the story. I just wish they could look past the rape they claim it to be and understand the story more.
