I was also thinking the same lines, either of them going to the other place some way or the other and have happiness even if it's not forever. I felt slight bit sorry for the blondie (can't recall his name) but this was what I was looking for, an actual obsessive, extreme and possessive FLAWED character who goes to that extent and even ready to break legs (of course non-consensual is a no go) getting a brutal death by the very person whom he considered precious.
Maybe I wanted FL to know how novels in thriller settings, even with romance could go very wrong if she wasn't too optimistic how Leo changed when she should have known that psychotic killers are good liars at almost every word they say. I admit I wept slightly but FL wasn't the type of person to cope with manipulative people. Glad she found her happiness her way and not restricted by the novel towards the end.
Maybe I’m crazy but I wished when she nearly died that she reincarnated back into her original body that could’ve been in a coma and she give Lucas the chance she gave Leo, or have Lucas get in a coma and he goes into Leo so he can say what he wanted during their lifetime.
