i think it's a class thing in this manga. You know the whole "know your place" thing. Like, only rich people should marry rich people. So here, it's Omegas aren't good enough to be with Alphas.
I think alphas mostly marry alphas. They have higher rank in the hierarchy.
They are supposed to marry within their own class. However the mate/soula mate/soul bond thing is only between alphas and omegas.

two, im so confused about this whole alpha omega thing because I thought that alphas were supposed to be with omegas and betas with betas. so why was it so weird for them to be married? AM I JUST GETTING EVERYTHING MIXED UP? AM I JUST STUPID???????
