In these stories there’s always maids who gossip about adopted children. Maybe she overheard their gossiping about him not being a “real” member of the family. Plus maybe she was just a brat and the gossip added on to her behavior? Just speculating lol

your telling me that, as a baby, she somehow automatically knew enough about adoption and blood to hate her brother for it? if they had been rased as siblings, she would have thought of him as her brother and would already love him by the time she knew what adoption meant.
