Sigh, I had the very same reaction as you with this "translator" Calix for another series, The Royal Bridegroom. I did get a chapter out with a clear message that I am not picking it up, nor am I trying to compete with their MTL group. But still, they put out a notice that they couldn't help but dropped it because "someone randomly picked it up". Now I feel bad coz there are people literally asking me if I can do more chapters since they don't seem to be doing it anymore. Sigh... just so you know, that you may get blamed for something if you decide to upload a better translated chapter... I do have the purchased raws, let me know if you want it. It's better than taking the ripped version from newtoki that has the watermarks on some pages. I'm willing to share it w you if you're interested in doing a proper translation & help readers to understand.

Please don't give a grade A for effort to an MTL group. Think about it. What effort do they even do? They can rip the raws from another site w/ watermarks all over & just clean the bubble that takes minutes to do then just put whatever garbage translation from MTL without even trying to proofread or correct blatant mistakes, all within 2-3 hours! A proper scanlation takes days or even weeks to do! I am one of those who have worked on scanlation, so I know what efforts mean! What they're doing is not promoting/introducing the series, they're just doing it for attention & likes. The translation quality is not that different from if you read the raws on your computer while you hold your phone over the text on the screen to have a translator apps instantly scan & translate for you. Sigh, I wish people understand & give credit where it's due rather than blindly saying thanks when it's clear that they're butchering the series.

But I do feel frustrated by the fact that these people just kept on doing what they're doing, & readers were all confused, & some even began to think that the author was bad at writing because they couldn't understand a single thing they're reading. That is just... bad. Again, I am sorry if you feel offended, that is really not my intention.

I think I saw a comment by someone offering to do the cleaning/redrawing too, so that's an option in case you need help.
