yes stories like these has been going on from a very long time but they were hidden or under the shadows (if you know what I mean) only the selected community knew about them who were into all of that.. BUT now these stories are being mainstreamed and being consumed by people who have no idea what it is and it's a bit scary how they're normalising it..
