OKAY ILL SAY THE GIST IN BRIEF.
kwon ido's brother was the worst scum (rapist/assaulter) so he gathered evidence against him to turn him into the police. he told him to go to his house to take a look at the gift he prepared but his brother ended up raping sejin, saying "thank you for the gift". kwon ido didn't know this, sejin got really traumatised and ran away to his apartment, kwon ido found him and despite seeing clear signs of rape on sejin and him being traumatised, he raped him instead (sejin got raped for the second time) and marked him. marking caused their memories to connect and by the time kwon ido became aware of it, he was mentally beating himself up and unable to show himself to sejin whereas sejin was traumatised to the point he couldn't differentiate between the ML and his brother, and thought kwon ido had abandoned him which worsened his condition. sejin ended up getting pregnant with the ML's baby when he raped him, and kwon ido seeing sejin's state told him at last abt his pregnancy in order to make him happy aka look forward to the future. after treating him like typical korean manhwa scum of the earth ML, kwon ido had finally fallen in love with sejin and realised how much of a scum he was, and wanted to treat him better. but hearing this news worsened sejin's mental state even further, and so, sejin committed su#icide in front of kwon ido (with a gun), who was unable to save him. kwon ido completely broke down mentally after losing sejin, realised
SHIT IT CUT OFF. he realised what grave crime he had committed, got su#icidal and soon ended up doing it himself. before doing it, he prayed that if he ever got to repent for his sins, he would treat sejin better than he deserved. and so here we are, fate gave him a second chance, and he's trying to rectify his mistakes.
MORE SPOILER: the entirety of main story, kwon ido is extremely constantly s#uicidal.
Idk if I’m a fucked up person but I’m so glad he committed suicide. I feel fucked up but after being raped by both brothers and ml acting like changing his actions would erase the trauma thoroughly pissed me off lol his biggest karma was MC committing suicide. 1st life ended satisfyingly if we talk about making a scum regret to the point of dying. And the brother should die too but I guess rotting in prison is better than ending his life too quickly.

you're not! the novel was very graphic, and their past life chapters were extremely stomach-churning. kwon ido deserved everything that happened to him and does in the second life as well. sejin doesnt forgive him easily in this life after regaining his memories, but by the time he does, kwon ido repents a lot, so you also end up crying alongside him LOL.

btw in this second life, his brother tries to assault sejin in a family dinner, and after saving him kwon ido indirectly k#lls him. in the first life too he knew it wasn't enough after sejin's s#uicide but he was of the same breed so he had no right to think so high and mighty (kwon ido's thoughts). he really repented good and with how the manhwa is going so far, lets hope all these serious topics get depicted well!
