A genuine question..

Is there any irl medical personnel here?
I kinda wondering, when hospitals do surgery irl and a blackout happen and for some reason the emergency power outage is being delayed, did the operation stop?
And when the operation is done, either succeeded or failed, did the lead surgeon tell the family? Something like “blackout happened in the middle of surgery but we did our best,” or just tell the result the patient being saved or died?

Again this is a genuine question, not to judge or anything. I’m personally curious and want to learn.. like is there any standard operating procedure for this kinda case or it up to the hospital/doctor or anything else.
Thank you (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

There is a secondary power outage that has been specially remedied for such situations, and if accidents do happen due to the hospital's negligence or mismanagement they are required to pay compensation. I'm not a surgeon specialising in saving people, but a forensic one so that's the basic out case on such cases.
