A few thoughts

This is one of my favorite manhwas ever so I need to write my opinions because I feel like I might explode otherwise. I've read the second season almost a year ago (in Russian) and pretending that it doesn't exist, or at least to think that it's an alternative ending/continuation is better than pointing out everything that I dislike about it.
Why did the original creator agree to a second season, and let someone else write the story? What was the purpose of the second season? What did it add to the original story, plot and storytelling wise?
I can't say I wasn't excited when I first heard about the second season, but I expected something else, something new and I think we can all agree that this is a retelling of the second part of the original story, stretched out, disregarding the closure they've gotten by the end of the series.
What annoyed me the most is *spoiler ahead* that ultimately the ending of season 2 was the same as the season 1. MC "got over" his childhood friend, chose to stay with his current partner, the end. Okay? Was that not what the original story was about anyway? Why did Subin have to strain his relationships AGAIN, make the same "mistakes" and decisions AGAIN just to end up the same way it originally ended? This could've been a testament to his love for Jun, something he does indeed end up saying at the end, but was that drama necessary to say that, especially when it does not even come off as convincing since ninety percent of the story was about their unstable relationship?
The original ending was perfect and I don't think there was a need for continuation, maybe only short side stories (but not necessarily). I also don't think that the writer for the second season fully understood the characters (I know this comes off as snobby and pretentious, but that's my opinion). The original creator is a great storyteller and an artist, the works she's done by herself always stand out and I honestly hope that she keeps on doing solo works instead of collaborations.
This is getting too long and I'm glad that I've already forgotten most of the story because I would've written an essay by now
Anyway...I wil come back when they release the s2 side stories as I think there are going to be sex scenes.

Idk about u but a s2 was definitely necessary for me ofc it has the same ending but this time subin is actually going to be certain about his relationship. In s1 it kinda gave off a half assed feeling and it was just well empty ig?

So far from what I've read of S2 I completely agree!! I was hoping we see more of hyunwoo and the other guy cuz they seemed liked theu were gonna be a thing but nope. Also really confused why suddenly there's a different author too, especially since the writing of the dialogue and emotions in S1 was my fave part of the series
