Things were already getting a bit tiresome and weird after the MC got his revenge. But now the author decided "MC can't beat the big bad guy, so I'll let some gods come down and turn him into a god so he can win." Like...that's literally a deus ex machina of the old greek/roman times. And also such a cop-out. Just...ugh...
