Maybe Ines is living her nth life. And she did suffer from the previous lives too, but I don’t think manipulating Carcel into divorce so she can be free is fair while justifying that he was originally a womanizer and he can just go back to his old ways. For every life she lived, she tried to live her best life but sadly, she lost to them everytime but where’s Carcel in the picture? I know she still intends to make sure Carcel lives happily after the divorce but most of the time, it’s the aftermath that counts, not the thought. Like, the dead ends their suffering and the living must carry their pain.

If she’s trying to change her fate, then why is he getting hate trying to change his womanizing ways? Also, why should Carcel suffer the consequences? And why do we have to bring up his womanizing days to justify that. It’s like she’s the only one that’s allowed to adjust to her new life while manipulating the other party to stay in the old one. She doesn’t have to fall in love with him if she’s not ready or still traumatized or doesn’t feel like it but they are married and he’s doing his best to make the marriage work. If somebody tells me, “so what if they’re married and/or he’s being nice to her. She can do what she wants because she deserves it and she suffered enough”, a big fat NO to you. In the first place, right now with the current arc of the manwha, she’s currently the only one who remembers their previous life so THAT first and foremost is already unfair to Carcel because he has no say to it and second, if you hate him for his womanizing days, then honestly, you’re a hypocrite for calling out people who made mistakes. Every single person has committed at least one sin. People including Carcel and Ines can change without burdening others. Lol. The way I see it, Carcel is doing that while Ines isn’t.

But i am excited to see the end though. I’ve read spoilers and saw they are indeed very much in love with each other so things worked out for the best.

Corrsruon: manhwa is not separate from novel. StoryofMinglan

My bad i thought its like a tad bit different when you said "Manhwa just doesn’t show every detail that novel has." Its is when it comes to details like....we dont get the whole picture ig?

Uhhh yes? never said she is not wrong...like AT ALL but i dont get people who are on carcels side...agree to disagree ig. But we both are picking our favourites at this point. You with carcel and me with ines. I dont hate carcel either. And i dont think its all his fault or ines fault all together. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ + trauma is a very valid reason in appose to Carcel, he had a choice too.
The trama, irl too it works like that...thats why people choose to go to therapy.

You’re absolutely right. They use her past to excuse her behavior but do you know in her previous life she slept with a complete stranger while engaged and three months before she was set to marry? By these r... StoryofMinglan

Yeah. i know Ines suffered a lot (i won’t go into details) but why drag Carcel to his own version of hell so she can be happy in this nth life of hers, right? Cheating is bad okay we all know that. But does that really justify dragging another person (who btw didn’t do those horrible things to Ines in her previous lives) to their own suffering so she can be free? That’s really just the bottomline of my comment. And reading other people’s comments, it’s really scary they are defending her actions like this. That is OK for her to emotionally manipulate Carcel so she can achieve her idea of freedom. AND it’s a good thing author-nim knows Ines is wrong and plotted to make her realize the toxicity of this part of the manwha. That part is chef’s kiss. Victim mindset is so sad.

Absolutely right. The author thinks both characters have flaws. Nothing is buried. Author will address the fact that she chose Carcel to use him and dump him. It will not be swept under the rug by Ines nor the author.
