Deep rooted insecurities, easy money, interiority or superiority complex? This all pushes her towards getting plastic surgery impulsively. First, she won the lottery and didn't know what to do with it then the situation somehow pushes her into change herself. Though she might not have been bullied all her life or anything because of her looks, there's already a small amount of insecurity in her heart. Then there comes the pretty girl, FL unknowingly keep comparing herself to her and now that she's openly criticized, she immediately decided that plastic surgery is what she's going to do with her abundant money. However, her insecurities weren't satisfied with just that. She keeps comparing and comparing herself to the pretty girl. Maybe because I haven't read much stories on these topics, this plot is going quite well for me. Reasonable, honestly. A flawed heroine, she's not mature enough is currently blinded by jealousy that she can't see that looks aren't everything. If her coworkers look down on her just because she's ugly then they're shits. I hope she learns self growth and deal with her insecurities.
But c’mon
Life isn’t black and white.
People don’t always look down on you if you’re ugly or instantly fall in love with you if you’re pretty
And it’s not so easy suddenly becoming attractive. It doesn’t always go smoothly with surgeries. People don’t just order in a flash. They research and they consider after years of struggling with it. Not just after one time being badmouthed, and where is she getting all this money. Her parents clearly don’t know. I doubt she makes significantly more than her colleagues.
Revenge for this type of situation is a bit stupid. Why waste ur life trying to bite people in the foot? It’s not like they’d care in the long run unless you torture/kill them but this ofc isn’t justified for this type of revenge story. I bet her hairdresser is a little uncomfortable from the lack of boundaries. MC treats him like a therapist and assumes he might be gay just because he is in the beauty business.
