Do killers deserve to be happy? In this sense….i think so. He feels guilt and remorse and was mentally and emotionally and socially stunted all through life and the only thing he knew was killing but is still a good person and would accept punishment if it was given to him. Does it make it even? I don’t think so but I feel like the victim’s family members would want someone that was so pained enough to take other’s lives find their own peace and happiness. It’s not as if he doesn’t understand the gravity of his crimes cause at the time I suppose he really didnt as he was committing them but now that he’s left his past behind and moved on he knows what he’s done can never be taken back and there’s no fixing it and there’s nothing he can do to make it better so really all he can do for himself and everyone else is be happy. I like this ending and how they addressed the moral dilemma of having a cute house husband be a previously dangerous murderer and like does he even feel bad for not being caught or how are they just gonna ignore this giant elephant in the room but I think Taichi put it best. We need more than just a side profile tho like cmon give us his face already
