The problem is not the decision within the story. Him saving her through rape, I don’t even think he really saw it as sex. I was just a method to save her and use the opportunity of the yin energy.
My problem is the author. Why would you write something like that. It‘s literally fiction. They could have come up with a different method or plot for this. It was just a bad choice

Well, yeah. I do imagine, if I was someone who close-knitted with the author, I’d give some input like:
“Isn’t it better if the Divine Physician gave her some drug that can make her sober like 2-3 minutes so she can give consent?”
And then maybe some other people on the creator team would say:
“But it would contradict the ‘very urgent’ situation and sex is the only hope.”
There’s so many “imaginary conversations” in my mind about this very specific arc. As I said, I also despised it too that I ended up overthinking every single thing ╥﹏╥
And even after struggling over it, the only conclusion I have is so the manhwa doesn’t become stagnant. I read a comment that said she/he want him to save her via NANO, but it already happened with the FL’s twin brother. So I thought the author need something different. Because repetitions is not sought after very well.
That’s why rather than blaming, I’ll just hope the author have a clear reason behind the scene and not a douchebag who think it’s okay for woman to be laid by a “successful man” even without consent.
Right now I am afraid that it was used as a way to make them have an intimate moment to establish a new possible love interest, without him being a cheater. Like making a situation where he has ”no choice“ but to to be close to her.
I hope I am wrong, but it’s just the way she reacted to being saved by rape. How she leaves the option that she might fall for him, when she follows him around.
That would be a horrible excuse to get them closer…

Ah. I understand your worry. Even I feel a bit weird when the woman didn’t have any conflicting feeling about the “forced method” that save her. I agree it feels too smooth sailing.

From what I read years ago, the woman indeed fall in love with the ML. But the ML still choose only the FL because he didn’t want to make another him. She won’t become some kinda bitch in heat who try to seduce the ML relentlessly. She does try to make the ML falls, like flirting , but just some standard flirting imho.
The woman and her family (brother and father)’s role are more like an additional-strongest-fighter in the sect just like the ML’s brother-in-arms to fight the enemies.

Believe me, when I first heard this scene as a spoiler (years ago) I hate it to my bone. I hate harem, I absolutely hate rape. I reject this spoiler with my whole being.
I only calmed down after I see the depicted condition of her illness and started to think why it was necessary.
I’m a woman, never had sex before. And yet, if that’s really the only thing that can save me, I’ll let him do it.. It’s a matter of personal choice, of course. If you’d rather die than have sex with stranger, it’s okay too.
It’s just hilariously weird how y’all didn’t complain when an innocent life get murdered but hate the forced act of saving life.
