I can understand that I've never had a lover. But I've have had friends come and go from as far as moving away to drifting apart. Ever since I graduated high school, I guess I've kept my distance.
Distance is a very scary thing when it comes to relationship, in general. But when you work things out, I think it could be rewarding. It's a gamble, though. And it could really hurt. Consciously or unconsciouly, we try to avoid that, by keeping a safe distance to protect ourselves.
This is great. A feel-good story. Never had a vampire yaoi story this gentle and warm. The cat story, though, made me tear up. Sometimes, I can see myself living alone and having a cat for company. Same sentiment, at some point, people will leave you. Or you leave first. It's ironic, wanting love but refusing it when it comes.
