Agreed, but I like to think D keeps to being a house husband and spends 99% of his time inside, basically living in seclusion as punishment.
He gets the one thing he wants, his guy, but ultimately has to live with the guilt and remain mostly isolated. His life is like a life sentence in a low security prison with the benefit of having your husband there.
He won't go back out and kill, and the 'normal and happy life' he wants to have for himself and his guy will never happen because of his actions...they are 'happily ever after' as they can be given the circumstances and he has to live knowing that's his fault.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand I want them to be together forever, on the other hand, I want to deeta to be punished for his crime along with his friend and family...It is conflicting but well, it is fiction. Can't say I hate the plot, it was good.
