we’re just not going to address yuri’s super toxic behavior??? the author had to have been building up to some type of resolution but got cut off. there’s literally no way we’re just gonna accept that those two live in marital bliss when yuri is a textbook abuser. like i rly thought during the chapter with yohan and mukyung one of them wouldve actually done something but when they didn’t i accepted it as set up for something farther into the epilogue—chekhov’s gun typa thing. literally everything needed to lead to a more satisfying conclusion was there. i did not just read 129 chapters for it to end like this

This was my feelings closing into the ending. The sense of dread that Yuri remained as he was while SW just accepts it as some form of love. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. I'm okay if it was pictured as suffering and a semi-bad ending but the author tried to play it off as some blissful end. It gives the impression that this form of abuse is acceptable in a happy relationship.
